Bienvenida Eva! Welcome Eva! Read the multi-colored sign in children's handwriting hung low in the doorway to my new home here in Pamplona, Spain. I received a rich welcome. Customary kisses from all family members on both cheeks, a thorough tour of the petite house and partial yard, as well as a home-cooked meal teeming with garbanzo beans and fresh baked bread. A near 24 hours of travel, and I was wiped, but decided to bolster my jet lag and take a walk through the city with my seasoned and lighthearted new familia.
Que Bonita! Pamplona is beautiful. I will be living in a bucolic splendor; old stone walls, distant views, lush green mountains, medieval buildings encompassing delightful outisde cafe's and restaurants, all contributing to the charming country like feel of this city.
